Winter Park Resort, at 9,000 feet base elevation, has great powder all season and the highest snowfall of all Colorado resorts with an average of 367 inches annually. Boasting 3,060 skiable acres with 143 named trails and 1,212 off-piste terrain should provide all the challenges needed to fill a week of skiing or boarding. There is a separate learning area for children with a magic carpet lift for the little ones. Lessons are structured to make sure that the child has the most fun, whether new to the sport or looking to learn new skills and proper techniques that will jump start their skiing for years to come.
Old man winter brings with him the return of family favorite activities and events in the Village of Winter Park. Don’t miss the tubing hill, free ice skating lessons, Kids’ Night Out, Mini Rail Jams plus new events sure to entertain “kids” of all ages. The Village also offers a bustling and exciting side for adult activities along the pedestrian only brick and cobblestone main streets with plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from.
We are staying at the Winter Park Mountain Lodge located directly across from the slopes. Guests enjoy an indoor swimming pool, two ten person hot tubs, sauna, exercise facilities, in room movies and free internet access. Enjoy the Moffat Station Restaurant and Brew Pub for après-ski located in the Lodge.
